Gabriella De Lima, Point Park University senior, and I sat down to discuss the current political and socioeconomic state of Venezuela, where most of her family still resides. Venezuela is facing a severe rise in crime and poverty under recent government leaders.  Her family in the United States sends boxes of necessities on a regular basis to a country severely in need.
